Under Armour Next

For those unfamiliar with the Under Armour Next college football recruiting camp series, it's a national tour that features thousands of the best young football stars-in-the-making every year.

The 2024 series just kicked off last week in Orlando, Florida. And this week they headed to Atlanta, GA, the premier college football recruiting hot bed in the nation, and it did not disappoint. Top football recruits from both the 2025 and 2026 classes were there to showcase their talents competing in positionally specific drills and a set of athletic tests similar to the NFL Combine.

But what top recruits shined the most, and who were some of the big names there that your favorite school might be recruiting? Let's take a look at some of the elite prospects who competed in the Under Armour Next event this weekend.

Top College Football Recruits in Attendance (Stars, Overall Rank, Class)

  • Julian Lewis, QB USC Commit (5 Star, 8th, 2025)
  • Justus Terry, DL Georgia Commit (5 Star, 9th, 2025)
  • Tyler Atkinson, LB Uncommitted (5 Star, 11th, 2026)
  • Devin Carter, WR Uncommitted (5 Star, 35th, 2026)
  • Landon Duckworth, QB South Carolina Commit (4 Star, 47th, 2026)
  • Alvin Henderson, RB Uncommitted (4 Star, 85th, 2025)
  • Akylin Dear, RB Uncommitted (4 Star, 105th, 2025)
  • Alex Payne, OT North Carolina Commit (4 Star, 153rd, 2025)
  • Isaiah Gibson, EDGE Uncommitted (4 Star, 156th, 2025)
  • Travis Smith Jr., WR Uncommitted (4 Star, 197th, 2025)
  • Chastan Brown, OT Uncommitted (4 Star, 211th, 2025)
  • Malik Autry, DL Auburn Commit (4 Star, 223rd, 2025)
  • Kade Phillips, CB Uncommitted (4 Star, 327th, 2025)
  • Mario Nash Jr., IOL Uncommitted (4 Star, 369th, 2025)

There were dozens more recruits vying for attention at the event, but these were the top verified four and five star recruits who made their presence known, proving their top pedigree and skills all day long at the event. Among the elite players a handful stand out as key names to watch in the coming weeks and months as recruiting camps continue.

Julian Lewis, QB USC Commit

Julian "JuJu" Lewis has been a consensus five star quarterback projection for multiple years now. So it's no surprise to see recruiting experts at the event like 247Sports' Andrew Ivins make comments like, "Ball zipping out of Lewis' hands," throughout the drills at Under Armour Next.

It will be interesting to see if he stays committed to USC if the Trojans struggle yet again this fall. It is notable that he's also made unofficial visits to Georgia, Ohio State, and Auburn since mid-November.

Justus Terry, DL Georgia Commit

Justus Terry has been committed to Georgia since January of 2023 and his hype continues to rise. He's risen all the way to 9th overall according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings and for good reason. He dominated on most every pass rushing rep (as you can see in the post below).

It seems likely he stays committed to Georgia, but Alabama, Miami (FL), and Auburn have not stopped trying to get him to flip in recent months.

Tyler Atkinson, LB Uncommitted

The top 2026 recruit at this weekend's event was Tyler Atkinson, an uncommitted linebacker from Grayson High School in Logansville, GA. Here he is flashing his elite explosion in his forty-yard dash.

Although he's just a sophomore in high school, Atkinson already has over 40 FBS offers. All the blue blood programs want him, but Atkinson seems to have a few clear favorites already.

He's taken three unofficial visits since last September to Auburn. But he's also seen Florida State twice, and Tennessee once in that same time span. Wherever he goes he likely starts day one as an impact defender at off-ball linebacker.

Devin Carter, WR Uncommitted

Perhaps the best wide receiver at the event, Devin Carter, is a Florida State legacy. His father played running back there and eventually went on to be a first round pick by the San Francisco 49ers. He made easy work of most defensive backs, as you can see in the post here below.

What makes him a fun one to track is that he just decommitted from Florida State in late January. He's made unofficial visits to half of the SEC (Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Auburn, Arkansas) and Ohio State, so it seems his services are truly up for grabs right now. His recruitment will certainly continue to heat up throughout the spring.

Isaiah Gibson, EDGE Uncommitted

Last, but not least, Isaiah Gibson was an absolute physical freak at the event showcasing his size, length, and quick first step off the line as you can see in the post below.

Isaiah Gibson has been to three camps/visits to Georgia Tech and South Carolina, but Georgia, Oregon, and Clemson are all reported to be firmly in the mix for Gibson. He's a mid-tier 4 star right now, but likely rises sharply up the ranks after this event.
