In a game in which everyone was expecting CeeDee Lamb to receive most of the attention from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary, the Dallas Cowboys needed somebody else to step up on offense.

Dalton Schultz did just that.

The Cowboys tight end, who will be seeking a new deal in the offseason, totaled 95 yards in seven catches (eight targets) and finished the night with two touchdowns. That's elite-caliber production, especially for a playoff game.

In fact, Schultz became one of three tight ends in the past 10 seasons to record multiple touchdowns and 90+ receiving yards in the postseason per Statmuse.

How about that? Travis Kelce, Rob Gronkowski, and Dalton Schultz. That's quite a short list of playoff heroes!

Per the Cowboys' Public Relations team, Schultz actually became the first tight end in franchise history with multiple receiving TDs in a playoff game.

Both touchdowns by Schultz were also remarkable plays by Dak Prescott. In the opening touchdown of the game, the Cowboys quarterback looked off the Bucs' single-high safety by staring to his left before finding a wide-open Schultz in the seam.

That was textbook quarterback football.

The second Schultz touchdown? Not so much. It was more like chaotic football.

But it sure was fun enough to inspire thoughts of Patrick Mahomes doing his usual crazy stuff over in Kansas City.

From the 11-yard line and out of an empty formation, Prescott scrambled to his left before jumping in the air – and seemingly suspending himself for an eternity – and throwing the football inside to #86. Schultz worked back to his quarterback and proved once more why he's earned Dak's trust.

In the regular season, Schultz had a couple of two-touchdown performances for the Cowboys. As he plays under the franchise tag, the productive tight end continues to work toward a big deal in the offseason.

Whether or not he receives one from Dallas remains to be seen. For now, he's still one of the biggest assets for the Cowboys' offense. Kellen Moore's unit will need him next weekend in San Francisco again.
