The NBA released the full regular season schedules for each team on Friday afternoon. That means Dallas Mavericks basketball is right around the corner.

Two matchups were already made known for the Mavericks heading into Friday's league schedule release. Those matchups included an opening week game against the Atlanta Hawks, and a Christmas Day bout against the Utah Jazz.

Here is the link to the full schedule: 21-22 schedule.

The 2021-22 campaign marks the 42nd season in Mavericks history, including the club’s 21st playing at American Airlines Center. The NBA will return to its traditional 82-game format for its 75th anniversary season.

Dallas’ first two home games will come against in-state rivals Houston and San Antonio on Oct. 26 and 28, respectively, at 7:30 p.m. CT.

Then, Dallas is scheduled to play 26 nationally televised games, including 11 on ESPN, seven on TNT, six on NBA TV and two on ABC. The team’s local broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.

Interesting games to note include the Mavericks hosting LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers twice (12/15, 3/29). Surrounding those games are Dallas' matchups with Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 7. And outside of matchups with Brooklyn and Los Angeles, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the defending NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks will make their sole trip to Dallas on Dec. 23. Chris Paul and the 2021 Western Conference champion Phoenix Suns will also visit once on Jan. 20.

For optimal times to attend games, the Macericks' longest homestand of the season will be a six-game, 11-day stretch at the beginning of February (2/2-2/12).

The Mavericks schedule is jampacked with must see games all throughout the 2021-22 season. And it promises to be a year that Dallas reaches another level as a team.
