The Baltimore Ravens will call on Tyler Huntley to start out at quarterback in their upcoming home matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, head coach John Harbaugh announced on Wednesday.

The Ravens will have Josh Johnson be Huntley’s backup against the Steelers, while Malik Cunningham will be penciled in as the No. 3 quarterback for the first time this season. Lamar Jackson will not suit up for this divisional contest, as the Ravens plan on placing him on the inactives list.

Harbaugh added that the decision to have Jackson not play against Pittsburgh "seemed to be the right thing to do." On Jackson's part, he said during a press conference on Wednesday that he is "cool" with not playing on Saturday.

"I’m cool with it," Jackson said. "Me and Coach talked about it. I felt like it was best for the both of us to sit me for this run."

The Ravens head into their regular season finale with nothing to play for. They clinched both the AFC North title and the No. 1 seed in the AFC following their 56-19 home win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 17. Jackson threw five touchdown passes in the contest.

In the big picture, the Ravens faced this exact same situation four years ago when they entered their Week 17 home clash with the Steelers having already locked up the top spot in the AFC. Harbaugh ultimately opted to rule out Jackson from the game, and Baltimore went on to cap off its regular season schedule with a 28-10 win. It was a mere two weeks later that the Tennessee Titans sent Baltimore home following a 28-12 victory in the AFC divisional round.

Overall, the Steelers hold a 34-25 record all-time against the Ravens.
