If the loss against the New England Patriots wasn't bad enough, what's transpired after is sure to get the fanbase going. Immediately after the contest, you could hop on social media and see fans calling for Sean McDermott and or Ken Dorsey to be fired. We want to start off by saying that we don't think either of them should be fired.
Josh Allen was pissed postgame, Von Miller played only a handful of snaps, Diggs didn't speak to the media, it was just a mess and things aren't looking much better at One Bills Drive.
Sean McDermott caused a media firestorm with an update on TE Dawson Knox that we didn't see coming, and neither did the rest of the league. Unfortunately, McDermott has confirmed that Knox will require surgery and his timeline for recovery is uncertain.
This comes on the heels of not one, not two, but three potential season-ending injuries on both sides of the football for the Buffalo Bills. First, Tre'Davious White was ruled out for the season with an Achilles injury and then just one week later both Matt Milano and DaQuan Jones were ruled out for what is believed to be the year.
McDermott, when speaking to the media, provided the following, "I'll give you the two that I know of, Dawson Knox who has been dealing with a wrist, he's going to end up having surgery here." Without skipping a beat, he turned his attention to another player, "And then Baylon Spector has a hamstring from the game yesterday so we'll see where that goes."
Buffalo cannot stay healthy, for whatever reason, it seems at this point that the team is cursed with devastating injuries impacting some of the more key players on the roster. Knox had a few drops last night and the Bills Mafia were coming for his throat all day today.
Now, we may know why Knox struggled to reel in the football with it now officially being announced that he would require surgery. McDermott confirmed that there is no timetable for his recovery which means that Dalton Kincaid is the next man up.
Expect Buffalo to deploy more 11-personnel sets with Knox being out. For those hoping to see a breakout campaign from Kincaid, there's no better time than now.
Hoping for a speedy recovery for Knox as the team suffers another massive blow due to injury.
