The Buffalo Bills are set to kickoff for 'Thursday Night Football' in less than 90 minutes.

It will be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading into a hostile environment at Highmark Stadium with the Bills Mafia ready to do all they can to help the team secure a win. The team needs to bounce back in a big way after the embarrassing loss to the New England Patriots this past Sunday.

A slew of roster moves has already been announced for the Buffalo Bills as CB Josh Norman and WR Andy Isabella are reportedly going to suit up and be active for the upcoming contest.

With that being said, here are the inactive lists for both teams heading into the 'Thursday Night' contest.

Bills inactive list:

  • S Damar Hamlin
  • CB Kaiir Elam
  • LB Baylon Spector
  • G Germain Ifedi
  • T Alec Anderson
  • TE Quintin Morris

Buccaneers inactive list:

  • DT Vita Vea
  • S Kaevon Merriweather
  • RB Sean Tucker
  • OLB Markees Watts
  • G Matt Feiler
  • DL Patrick O'Connor
  • TE David Wells

Observations

The Buffalo Bills defense has been on a downward trajectory over the past few weeks after losing three All-Pro caliber players in Tre'Davious White, Matt Milano, and DaQuan Jones. While Von Miller has been active, his snap counts have been far too low and he hasn't been able to make an impact while returning to football.

Less than two hours before the upcoming contest, the Buffalo Bills made the unexpected move to bench Kaiir Elam once again, this time in favor of elevating Josh Norman ahead of the contest. Unexpected in that you don't typically see your former first-round cornerback being benched for an aging veteran who hasn't had a lot of time to earn the defense, it's clear that McDermott and the front office may not trust Elam's abilities throughout his short career thus far in Buffalo.

Tampa Bay will look to capitalize on a weakened defense from the Buffalo Bills and look to exploit the cornerbacks throughout the contest. New England found success running the ball directly up the middle, and Tampa Bay could look to do the same.

Ultimately, it will be up to Josh Allen and the offense to find a way to get out of the current slump they're in and return to their dominant form that they started the season with.

Waiting until late in the second half to do anything offensively will be a nightmare scenario for a team that's spent all week talking about the need to clean things up and execute better.

Whether it's ugly or not, the team just needs to find a way to win this game.
