The Buffalo Bills may have struck gold, again. Undrafted rookie RB Jordan Mims has had a quiet camp after going viral with a catch over Josh Allen. We previously reported Mims after that play and how he could make some noise on the roster.
Unfortunately for him, the running back room is chock full of talent and it will be a difficult task for him to make the 53-man roster with the likes of James Cook, Damien Harris, and Latavius Murray who can command the backfield.
Don't tell Mims he doesn't have a chance though. In limited playing time, Mims shined. Specifically, there was a play in the third quarter where Mims pulled off his best Josh Allen impression and hurdled a defender, making the Bills Mafia scream in excitement (and get a little scared).
Mims has a tough battle to make the active roster, but one single hurdle could result in him getting just a little more playing time. The preseason is his dress rehearsal for some more playing time and if he is able to pull off more highlight reel plays, it may force the team to keep him on the roster. Even if it's just on the practice squad, Mims showcased in one simple play just how badly he wants this.
Every year there is one darkhorse that wins over the hearts of Bills Mafia. While it's early and we'll need to see more of Mims, this was an impressive step in the right direction.
Go in, ball out, and force the organization's hand.

Bills Mafia knows all about the big additions this offseason with Poyer re-signing, Dalton Kincaid being drafted and even division-rival running backs like Damien Harris signing with the roster. However, one of the more under-the-radar additions to the team is that […]
