The Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen bounced back in a big way against the Tampa Bay Buccanneers with a far-too-close-for-comfort victory on 'Thursday Night Football.'

Allen has been a superstar since joining the league and Thursday night was no different. While he had a tipped pass intercepted, he looked sharp the rest of the game and started dissecting the defense early in the contest. From Dalton Kincaid scoring his first touchdown, the emergence of Khalil Shakir in the offense, and of course Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs doing their thing, the team looked good in the first half.

While they may have cooled down in the second half, the team did what they needed to do to secure the victory on a short week against the Buccaneers. We don't love that it came down to a failed Hail Mary, we will take the victory, especially considering how anemic this offense has looked as of late.

Allen and head coach Sean McDermott have been candid about the issues on offense leading up to the contest, and even before that after some really poor performances over the past few weeks. This game was no different as Allen pointed out one area in particular where the team needs to improve, specifically highlighting offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey's red zone inefficiencies.

Allen, after opening up on the domination of Shakir throughout the contest and gushing about what the team did well, discussed an issue with the offense. One that the Bills Mafia can absolutely agree with.

The portion of the video where Allen is talking about Dorsey and the offense can be found around the 23:50 mark of the video below

Speaking on Gabe Davis bouncing back and what the team did differently, Allen offered, "It's hard to always throw it down the field to a certain guy and I think that's hard for him (Gabe Davis) as well." He continued,  "So, to develop some of this underneath stuff and allow him to put the ball in his hands and make some plays I think, in turn, will open up some of the other stuff.

That's when Allen turned his attention to Dorsey, and what the team could be doing better moving forward. "I thought Dorsey did a great job of giving us stuff that we were familiar with… We gotta be better on that fourth and 2 down in the red zone. There are some times, third and short and we gotta pick up the first down… A lot to learn from."

The superstar QB pointed to Ken Dorsey's execution in the red zone as an issue the team needs to correct, and we can't blame him for that. Buffalo, while being among the best in the NFL in the red zone, has stalled out on drives on more than one occasion. Even in this contest, Buffalo attempted a fourth down conversion on the one-yard line and failed, something that maybe against a better team (no offense Tampa Bay) would've proved costly. Allen understands that Dorsey has improved over the last week, but that doesn't mean his job is done. For Buffalo to be successful they need to score points in bunches, which means increasing their effectiveness in the red zone. While the offense has looked better, Allen was right to call out the one area that the team needs to execute better, and that falls on Dorsey's shoulders as the playcaller.

A win is a win is a win. Allen has a few things he needs to clean up, Dorsey too. At the end of the day, we're just happy they're back in the win column.
