The Buffalo Bills are likely to lose linebacker Matt Milano for the rest of the year, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday.

Following his departure from Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Milano reportedly fractured his leg and is now feared to undergo season-ending surgery. He'll also have an MRI to check on the ACL. Rapoport called Milano's chances of missing the season "likely."

Losing Milano, who is eternally one of the most underrated players in the league, is a devastating blow to the Bills' defense.

Linebacker depth was already one of the biggest questions surrounding Sean McDermott's defense and now they're down to starter Terrell Bernard. Backup Dorian Williams seems to have the upper hand over Tyrel Dodson to take over Milano's vacated spot.

The Bills were already navigating the season-ending injury of Tre White in the secondary. Losing Milano and White means the team will be without their best player at their respective levels of defense.

If you're looking for a silver lining, the Bills have Von Miller back in the pass rush and Greg Rousseau should join him very soon. McDermott will need them to pick up some slack defensively.
