The Buffalo Bills have some difficult decisions to make, to say the least.
A slew of talented Bills players are up for a contract and the team doesn't have a lot of wiggle room in regard to cap space. In fact, as it currently sits, the Bills are around five million dollars under the cap, according to spotrac.
One of the more premiere players, Jordan Poyer, is a big name that is up for a new contract after this current season.
If Poyer were unable to get a new contract with Buffalo, Sunday could potentially be his last home game as a Buffalo Bill.
Is this goodbye?
With that in mind, Poyer posted what very well could be his goodbye message. In that, Poyer sent a direct message to Bills Mafia and Buffalo fans across the world.
During his message on the Jordan Poyer podcast, the All-Pro safety wore his heart on his sleeve. "I just wanna thank all of Bills Mafia." He continued, furthering his sentiment to the fans that have meant so much to him, "you are family, and will forever be family."
Poyer has been a staple to not only the football team but the greater Buffalo community since his arrival.
Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott have reshaped the culture and what it means to be a Buffalo Bill. When you come to Buffalo, you become the best version of yourself. This was perfectly encapsulated by Jordan Poyer's tenure.
For all intents and purposes, Poyer was simply let go by both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cleveland Browns. Beane and McDermott saw the opportunity and jumped at it. The rest, as they say, is history.
If Poyer were to leave the Bills it would immediately change the outlook on the team next season. The Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer tandem have wreaked havoc on opposing offenses since the two joined forces in Buffalo.
Insane Poyer stat
Even more, Buffalo has quite literally been unbeatable this season when Poyer is on the field. All-Pro Po or big play Po as Bills Mafia likes to call him will undoubtedly be missed if he were not to come back to the team next year.
I'm sure all of Bills Mafia will agree that no matter what happens, there's always going to be love for Jordan Poyer.
Here's hoping Brandon Beane can work some salary cap magic and bring a fan favorite back for a few more years.
