Everybody knows what Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen can do with his arm, but his legs have been dominating the conversation in many NFL circles of late.
Allen made every highlight reel known to man after his gravity-defying hurdle in the Bills’ Week 6 win on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Personally, this is my favorite angle.
It’s a play that Chiefs S Justin Reid, and the rest of the football world, won’t soon forget. But it’s not the first time Allen has leapt over a defender.
NFL Network’s Good Morning Football pointed out Allen’s extensive hurdle history. Peter Schrager notes that this was Allen’s fourth jaw-dropping hurdle of his career. The full video is available below.
Plays like these are the reason why Allen is the frontrunner for the league’s Most Valuable Player award. No man standing at six-foot-five and 240 pounds should be able to make plays like this. Especially not players who just signed a six-year deal worth $258 million.
But that’s how Allen plays. Not with reckless abandonment, but with fearlessness. It’s what has molded Allen into the Super Bowl caliber quarterback as well as appointment television every Sunday.
