The Buffalo Bills have had an unfortunate trend that has been continuing with each practice.
First, it was Josh Allen getting rocked by Taron Johnson after the team ran the Philly Special on the last play of practice. Allen was down on the field for a few seconds in which you could hear a pin drop. Anytime your franchise QB goes down, it's a scary situation.
Then, the very next practice, Allen went down again and had trainers look at him briefly. While less serious, not a good back-to-back occurrence at practice.
Now, although it wasn't Allen, a crucial part of the team had to be helped off by trainers. Joe Marino, Host of Locked On Bills reported that OT Spencer Brown went down with an injury.
Once again, at the end of practice, Brown had left the field walking with clear discomfort with the aid of several trainers. Brown, as Marino pointed out, has a history of back problems.
Brown is hoping to take an important next step after an up-and-down season. Well, put bluntly, his season was mostly down.
Buffalo is looking to do everything they can to protect their franchise quarterback. Brown going down could have serious implications for the season. Bills head coach Sean McDermott's next-man-up type mentality has been crucial.
You don't like seeing anyone go down, especially those who are responsible for protecting Allen. Here's hoping it's nothing serious and we see him back on the field and practicing in no time.
Josh Allen goes down with injury in second straight practice
The Buffalo Bills’ success largely rests on the shoulders of Josh Allen. Another camp scare might have the organization changing a few things up.
