At 6-2, the Buffalo Bills know they can't take any game lightly as the AFC East standings look a little bit more crowded than originally expected. That makes the decision to play Josh Allen a more difficult one leading up to game day.
The Bills' star quarterback missed the first two days of practice this week and HC Sean McDermott indicated they'd take it "hour-to-hour" leading up to practice.
While Buffalo hasn't made an official declaration on Allen's status, it'd be fair to say it's a very strong probability Ken Dorsey's offense will be led by Case Keenum on Sunday. If so, it will be a huge game for the offensive coordinator and a chance for him to make a strong statement.
That being said, the Bills did rule out two starters on Friday as Sean McDermott announced safety Jordan Poyer and Greg Rousseau would not play.
Although the All-Pro safety has been ruled out for the Vikings game, his return could come as soon as next week per the Bills' head coach.
"He's day-to-day," said McDermott about Poyer.
Rousseau, who is second on the team with 23 QB pressures, is a huge blow to the Bills' defense. The fact that he has only six fewer pressures than Von Miller in 60 fewer snaps is strong evidence of his work.
On a positive note, LB Matt Milano is expected to return on Sunday. His return on defense will be huge against a Vikings squad that excels running the football.
"He looks like he's in a good spot," revealed McDermott. "He should be ready to go."
