The Buffalo Bills season is officially over. Buffalo didn't have an answer from the get-go and lost to the Cincinatti Bengals.
Despite Damar Hamlin being in attendence, Buffalo got off on the wrong foot. Arguably, the Bills had their worst start to the game and overall their worst game of the season.
The boost the team recieved from having Damar at the game just wasn't enough to overcome Joe Burrow.
Immediately following the game, Josh Allen had a message that has quickly gone viral.
The franchise quarterback kept it short and brief, outlining what every member of Bills Mafia felt during the game.
Josh Allen, objectively, didn't have his best day as a pro. Despite constant pressure, the offensive line wasn't giving the franchise quarterback much help.
The Buffalo Bills were simply outplayed in every facet of the game. What had all the makings for a storybook season is now over.
Looking back, one of the biggest driving factors for the Bills lack of success was their inability to get after Joe Burrow.
The Bengals, despite missing three starting offensive lineman, gave Burrow enough time to disect the depleted Bills secondary.
Buffalo was one of the more premiere teams in terms of pass rush rate until Von Miller's injury. Since then, Buffalo hasn't been able to get home and get to the quarterback. On both sides of the trenches, the Bills struggled mightily.
To add insult to injury, what could be Poyer's last game as a Bill, the All-Pro safety left the game and to the locker room after a collision with Tredavious White.
One of the few bright spots in today's matchup was that of Matt Milano. The All-Pro linebacker put his heart on his sleeve and flat out balled out. The talented linebacker was part of some huge plays including tackles for loss, a sack, and just overall disrupting the offense.
The Bills Super Bowl window may be closing at a rate higher than Bills Mafia would like to admit. With uncertainties surrounding stars like Tremaine Edmunds, Ed Oliver, and Jordan Poyer, they will have an uphill battle to get back to the position they were in.
Ken Dorsey is taking interviews for the head coaching position, Leslie Frazier called arguably his worst game this season and will undoubetdly get offers elsewhere. This time next season, this Bills team may look vastly different.
Getting healthy and ensuring Josh Allen is protected may be the biggest offseason play, outside of even more draft capital on both sides of the trenches.
We have a long way to go until we see Josh Allen and company take another meaningful snap, here's hoping to have a few things figured out before then.
Despite the dehabilitating loss, as always, go Bills.
