One of the Cincinnati Bengals' AFC North rivals is dealing with some major offseason drama during the NFL Draft combine.
Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta met with reporters in Indianapolis on Wednesday and he appeared to throw some shade at Baltimore's wide receiver group.
DeCosta suggested that the Ravens have never been able to hit on an "All-Pro type of guy" at wide receiver in the draft.
"If I had an answer, that would probably mean I would have some better receivers," said DeCosta. "We're gonna keep swinging."
"There have been some guys that have been successful players for us that were draft picks," added DeCosta. "We've never really hit on that All-Pro type of guy, which is disappointing, but it's not for a lack of effort."
Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman, a first-round pick by Baltimore in the 2021 NFL Draft, saw DeCosta's comments and offered a rebuttal that didn't come across as "friendly".
"How bout you play to your player’s strength and stop pointing the finger at us and #8 (Lamar Jackson)," tweeted Bateman.
You can see the rest of Bateman's response below.

Ouch. Not a good start to the offseason for the Ravens.
Baltimore is probably the Bengals' biggest threat in the AFC North in 2023 (though the Pittsburgh Steelers could make some noise this season). With the Ravens in disarray, Cincinnati has to feel good about their chances to three-peat in the division.
