September is right around the corner, and the Cincinnati Bengals and every other NFL club is now locked in on the start of the regular season. Unfortunately, Roster Cutdown Day is a big part of that.
The Bengals managed to get through training camp despite not having their quarterback practice for most of it again. Joe Burrow's strained calf appears to be fine as Week 1 approaches, but fans will wait with bated breath until he takes the field feeling 100%.
Outside of the franchise QB's health, the roster is in a very good place. Right tackle La'el Collins remains on the Active/PUP list for the time being, and the team is likely to keep him there for the start of the season. That will require some roster manipulation, and it won't be the only move the Bengals make to finalize their 53-man roster.
