Bengals: Travis Kelce sends warning to Ja'Marr Chase

There's no better rivalry in the NFL right now than the Cincinnati Bengals versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Over the past two seasons, they've met four times including back-to-back AFC Championship games, with each team winning one. So, they've established themselves as the class of their conference for sure.
It's also created some spicy trash talk between the two organizations.
Last week, Bengals' All-Pro wide receiver, Ja'Marr Chase, said that quarterback Joe Burrow was the best player in the NFL. Chase would then double down on it the next day and said "Pat Who" when Patrick Mahomes' name was mentioned for that particular title.
The Chiefs got their Super Bowl rings last week, and Mahomes posted a picture on his Twitter account with the caption "That's Who", a clear response to Chase. Well, he's not the only one with a message for the former first-round pick.
The favorite weapon of Mahomes, All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce, dropped a fiery response to Chase on Wednesday via the "New Heights Podcast" that he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles.
"Shoutout to Ja'Marr Chase for holding it down for his QB, but don't you ever disrespect Pat Mahomes now," Kelce said. "If you want to talk your s***, talk your s***, pimp. Just better back it up."
Whew, Kelce certainly isn't having the Mahomes disrespect, is he?
In Chase's defense, he's played extremely well against the Chiefs the last two years.
When the Bengals beat the Chiefs in the regular season in 2021, Chase set the single-game franchise record for receiving yards with 266 and scored three touchdowns on 11 receptions. He added another 54 yards and a score on six catches in the AFC Championship Game that year when the Bengals defeated the Chiefs on the road to advance to the Super Bowl.
Cincinnati would win their third straight game against the Chiefs last December and Chase caught seven passes for 97 yards. Kansas City finally got their revenge in the AFC title game, but Chase had a solid performance with 75 yards on six receptions.
So, Chase has averaged just under eight catches for 123 yards and a touchdown versus the Chiefs since 2021, and his team was won three out of the four contests. But it's understandable why Kelce said what he said considering the Chiefs have a Super Bowl title during that span and the Bengals are still searching for their first.
Can the season start already?
