The Denver Broncos have put in a ton of work this offseason. Just when everyone is counting them out, expecting them to be worse in 2024, they feel the exact opposite. They saw how close they got last season with the drama they did have, and know that they can get back to doing things their way, successfully. And, that's not too far-fetched for them to feel that way, too.

After three weeks of OTAs, or Organized Team Activities, we saw wide receiver Courtland Sutton report for the first time this offseason at the Broncos' minicamp, which Sean Peyton ended a day early after two days. Sutton even opened up about his contract situation.

Usually, teams do three days of mandatory minicamp, and then they wrap up the offseason and prepare for training camp, which is the official start of the 2024 season because as soon as training camp is over, real football is played. Instead, the Broncos are content with the two days they got and will end minicamp early, not practicing on Thursday.

Payton wanted the players to get rested up and get some time off before they hit the ground running for the real thing – training camp. Usually, Payton keeps things under wraps pretty well, but on Tuesday the NFL released the dates for training camp. Well, some of them.

They announced that the Broncos rookies will report on July 17, and the veterans will report on July 23.

That's where the real work gets put in. That's where you find out if the team is built-ready for the season. You may see altercations like fights, or maybe even injuries like we have the last two seasons with Tim Patrick. But, it's the time the players come ready to work, and they will be ready.
