Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson has done it again. After taking himself out of the running for the Panthers head coaching job in 2022, Johnson has one again informed teams that he will stay with the Lions. 

Johnson was expected to be the top choice for the Washington Commanders after the the Lions were eliminated from the playoffs in the NFC Championship game. He has instead chose to stay in Detroit and take another shot at the Super Bowl. 

The Lions had one of the leagues top offenses with Johnson in 2022 and 2023 and they should continue to have that in 2024 since the Lions are bringing everyone back and will have a chance at bringing in free agents and draft picks to help out too. 

Like the tweet says, Johnson will have more shots to be a head coach in the future. Especially if the Lions can win the Super Bowl in 2024. He'll have his pick of wherever he wants to go.
