To the surprise of few, Christian Watson, Rashan Gary, and Romeo Doubs are on the Green Bay Packers' first injury report of Week 2, but no longer are they the only key players on the list.

Pro Bowl guard, Elgton Jenkins, was listed as a limited participant, per Packers head coach Matt LaFleur.

"[Christian] Watson did not participate in practice. Romeo Doubs, RG [Rashan Gary], and Elgton Jenkins were all limited and then Anthony Johnson was a full participant," LaFleur told reporters after Wednesday's practice.

LaFleur also confirmed that second-year linebacker, Quay Walker, is in the NFL's concussion protocol. Walker was drilled by a Chicago Bears player as he crossed the goal line after returning a Justin Field interception for a touchdown. He left the game after that play and did not return.

"I didn't in the moment. I had no idea. I thought he was just tired because he just ran 60-some-odd yards or whatever it was," LaFleur said when asked if he immediately noticed Walker's concussion symptoms. He was unable to update reporters on Walker's progress.

But, the biggest name on Packers fans' minds is that of star running back Aaron Jones, who wasn't around during the media portion of Wednesday's practice, either. However, it doesn't sound like Jones practiced, at all, when listening to LaFleur.

"Well, we're gonna give them through the course of the week before we make any determination on him," said LaFleur.

That certainly sounds like Jones is fighting through his injury, even if it's not an intense fight.

“It was not a pull,” Jones told reporters after the win over the Bears. “I’ve pulled my hamstring before and I didn’t really feel a pull. It was just a little bite. Thankful for it, [the Packers are] always looking out for my best interests.”

As for Jenkins, no one asked LaFleur what he's dealing with. We will provide an update on that once the Packers release their official injury report for the day.

Update: Jenkins was limited with a knee issue. It's unclear if it's the same knee he injured in 2021. Jones and Walker were both listed on the report as non-participants, so their statuses are certainly something to keep an eye on this week.

Packers-Falcons Wednesday injury report

As for the Falcons Troy Andersen is also in the NFL's concussion protocol. He is one of the team's starting linebackers and he is currently tied for the team lead in both total tackles (10) and tackles for loss (1.0). Losing him would be a pretty big blow to the Falcons defense.

Jeff Okudah missed last week's game, but the fact he was a limited participant on Wednesday has him on track to play Sunday. Cordarrelle Patterson is in good shape as a full participant and both Jonnu Smith and Calais Campbell were given off days.
