The Houston Texans played one hell of a game on Sunday, but it just wasn't enough. I won't say the better team won, the Jacksonville Jaguars, because I don't believe that. The series is tied 1-1 on the year, with the road team winning both games.

So, it's hard to say the Jaguars are better, apart from having a much better record, because the first time the two played, the Texans destroyed Jacksonville. Not to mention, if the Texans make two field goals they missed, we are talking about a win.

I get it; it's hard to be upset at a kicker for missing a 58-yarder, especially a guy who isn't even the starting kicker but instead, someone who was signed to the practice squad a few games ago.

Here is what Matt Ammendola had to say about his missed game-tying kick.

"I honestly thought the kick was going in," Ammendola said to reporters after the game. "Obviously, it was just a step short. It is what it is; I just have to get back to work.

"Again, it happens. I was a little shocked because I never come up short."

It felt like Ammendola was being a bit cocky after the game for some weird reason. Not to mention, he answered every question, all of which were different questions, the same exact way, saying that misses happen and he has to get ready for next week.

However, the game-tying kick that he missed isn't even the bigger deal, in my opinion. The guys missed a much, much closer one that was far right, which would have had the Texans tied with the Jaguars.

I'm sure Texans fans are ready for Fairbairn to be back.
