The NFL's regular season is over, which for most teams, means it's time to start figuring out plans for the offseason.



NFL free agency is a huge part of the process, and along with the NFL Draft, it has everyone preparing for what should be a very active couple of months.

We've officially come up with our own contract projections for the NFL's top free agents that include context behind each player's 2023 season, the likelihood of a franchise tag, the projection itself, and the first-year cap hit for a team that's “all-in” and is needing to reduce that first-year hit in order to maximize their cap dollars.

So, without further ado, let's check out the projection for Las Vegas Raiders center, Andre James.

Andre James 2024 Contract Projection

Andre James has been a starter in the NFL for three seasons, on a team that endured one of the more chaotic three-season stretches in recent memory. In this short span, James has seen two head coaches fired midseason (or… forced-resignation, in Gruden’s case?) and has worked with five different starting quarterbacks.

Despite the chaos around him, James has been a remarkably consistent anchor on the Raiders offensive line, hovering right around a 98% pass block-efficiency rating and starting over 960 snaps each season. He also deserves a nod for being a key cog in the machine that earned Josh Jacobs the 2022 rushing title. For the most part, he’s been an available and reliable presence, which is invaluable for the focal point of any offensive line.

The league has recently recognized a strong pocket starts with a sturdy interior. James might not be a flashy name yet, but he’s shown he can be a solid foundational piece to a line in a variety of schemes and situations.
