The Las Vegas Raiders have one of the best defensive players in the league on their team in Maxx Crosby, who will likely receive some votes for Defensive Player of the Year Award.
The things Crosby did this season only prove he is at the top of the league. He is the Raiders, and he is a Raider for life.
Well, at least that’s what we thought. A recent report suggests something else could be happening very soon.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Raiders owner Mark Davis has yet to hold an interview for the open head coach position. The players are advocating for Antonio Pierce, and if he isn’t hired the players will take a stand. That includes Maxx Crosby, who will likely request a trade.
Now that’s an incredible report that on my personal opinion I do not believe. Just in my time covering Crosby, he does not come off as that type of player at all. But, Pelissero is speaking from sources; things people are telling him. One insider also said that Crosby is “drawing a line in the sand.”
This is definitely a situation we want to continue to monitor.
