The Raiders have made some major changes to their roster—mostly good. They have put a roster in place that feels like it will allow them to compete for a playoff spot and maybe even win some games in the postseason if the offense can turn things around.
After the 2024 NFL free agency period and the 2024 NFL Draft, the Raiders have 88 players out of a possible 90. However, that is counting David Agoha, who is part of the International Pathway Players Program. This means he does not count as part of the 90, nor does he count as part of the 16 if he makes the practice squad. So, really, they have 87, with three spots left. Here is how the roster is looking after wrapping up the draft.
Note: Players with one asterisk (*) represent 2023 draft picks and players with double asterisks (**) represent 2023 undrafted free agents.
Quarterback (2)
IN: Aidan O'Connell, Gardner Minshew
OUT: Carter Bradley**, Anthony Brown
The Raiders liked the two QBs they have on the roster and did not contemplate picking one after the first round of the draft.
Running Back (4)
IN: Zamir White, Alexander Mattison, Ameer Abdullah, Dylan Laube*
OUT: Brittain Brown, Sincere McCormick, Tyreik McAllister
The Raiders just drafted Laube, and with one less QB on the 53-man roster, they may be able to keep Laube on the 53-man for special teams. Laube will be the special teams RB while Abdullah is the third down back.
Wide Receiver (5)
IN: Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, D.J. Turner, Kristian Wilkerson
OUT: Jeff Foreman**, Lideatrick Griffin**, Ramel Keyton**
The Raiders did not take any wide receivers in the draft, but signed three that were undrafted free agents in what was an extremely deep wide receiver class. As of right now, before seeing any of them play, I think the Raiders keep five on the roster.
Tight End (4)
IN: Michael Mayer, Brock Bowers*, Cole Fotheringham, Harrison Bryant
OUT: John Samuel Shenker, Zach Gentry
The Raiders will now have two of the youngest, best tight ends in the league. The future is bright in that department, especially when you factor in Getsy's offense, which needed two tight ends for 12 personnel.
Offensive line (9)
IN: Kolton Miller, Dylan Parham, Andre James, Jackson Powers-Johnson*, Thayer Munford Jr., Cody Whitehair, Delmar Glaze*, Jordan Meridith, Dalton Wagner
OUT: Jalen McKenzie, Ben Brown, Clark Barrington**, Andrew Coker**, Jake Johanning**, Will Putnam**.
The Raiders have a somewhat new and revamped offensive line at the right guard and right tackle positions. I think rookie JPJ wins the starting job with Whitehair as the backup, and Munford keeps the starting tackle job for now.

Defensive Line (9)
IN: Maxx Crosby, Tyree Wilson, Byron Young, Malcolm Koonce, John Jenkins, Adam Butler, Christian Wilkins, Janarius Robinson, Mathew Butler
OUT: David Agoha, Charles Snowden, Elerson Smith, Nesta Jade Silvera, Tomari Fox**, TJ Franklin**, Amari Gainer**, Noah Shannon**, Ron Stone**, Marquan McCall
The Raiders have one of the best defensive lines in the league, and seeing it on paper even assures that. When you type out the depth chart, too, it shows that their depth is better than we may think.
Linebacker (4)
IN: Divine Deablo, Robert Spillane, Luke Masterson, Tommy Eichenberg*
OUT: Darien Butler, Kana’i Mauga, Amari Burney
The Raiders drafted Tommy Eichenberg for the 2025 unit, which currently only had Burney on the books. The Raiders linebacker unit is pretty solid.
Cornerback (8)
IN: Jack Jones, Jakorian Bennett, Nate Hobbs, Brandon Facyson, Decamerion Richardson*, Sam Webb, Cornell Armstrong, M.J. Devonshire*
OUT: Demarcus Governor**, Ja'Quan Sheppard**, Rayshad Williams**
With the addition of the rookies, Jack Jones and Jakorian Bennett hopefully developing more, this unit is in a much better place than it was last year, and it's younger.

Safety (5)
IN: Marcus Epps, Tre’von Moehrig, Chris Smith II, Isaiah Pola-Ma, Trey Taylor*
OUT: Tyreque Jones, Jaydon Grant, Phalen Sanford**
The safety room seems a lot better than it was last season. Look for the Raiders to add one of these safeties to their 16-man practice squad.
Special Teams (3)
IN: Daniel Carlson (K), A.J. Cole (P), Jacob Bobenmoyer (LS)
OUT: N/A
This one is pretty obvious, as the Raiders have one of the best kickers in the league and one of the best punters in the league. Those two aren't going anywhere.
