NFL Power Rankings: Week 6

We are over a quarter of the way through the NFL season. And are now heading into Week 6 of the 2023 season.

Follow all the NFL's trends throughout the season with us here at A to Z Sports. Each week, we will release an updated NFL power rankings based on the most recent performances by each NFL team. If you missed Week 5's power rankings, click here.

NFL Power Rankings Week 6:

1. San Francisco 49ers (5-0) ↔️

In what was labeled by many as the game of the week, the San Francisco 49ers embarrassed the Dallas Cowboys on national television. In a game that already had a lot of emotion around it after the playoff game last year between the two teams. But the 49ers refused to allow a different result and did so in dominating fashion. The 49ers continue to look like the best team in the league and the current Super Bowl favorites.

2. Philadelphia Eagles (5-0) ↔️

Another close game for the Philadelphia Eagles this week, but they got the job done to defeat the Los Angeles Rams 23-14 to improve to 5-0 on the year for the 2nd straight year. The only two undefeated teams now sit in the NFC, and many around the league already envision them going head-to-head in the NFC championship.

3. Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) 📈 1

The Kansas City Chiefs fought through multiple injuries during their game this Sunday vs. the Minnesota Vikings to win 27-20 to improve to 4-1 on the season. While a few other teams are certainly contenders in the AFC, the Chiefs will continue to be the favorite in the conference until a team can unseat them, which is easier said than done.

4. Miami Dolphins (4-1) 📈 1

After dropping their first game of the season in Week 4, the Miami Dolphins played angry in Week 5 and took it out on the New York Giants in their 31-16 win. Their high-powered offense continues to be must-watch TV each week, and Tyreek Hill had a fantastic outing, putting up eight receptions, 181 yards, and a touchdown.

5. Detroit Lions (4-1) 📈 3

Welcome to the top five, to the Detroit Lions. This team plays hard no matter the opponent across from them and are putting themselves into elite company in the NFL. They look like legit contenders in the NFC and seem to be the next team after the 49ers and Eagles that teams are watching on that side of the league. Dan Campbell's team has fully bought into his philosophy, and they seem to be a team that will be in every game they play in because they just want it more.

6. Buffalo Bills (3-2) 📉 3

7. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2) 📈 2

The Jacksonville Jaguars had back-to-back games in London over the past two weeks and left 2-0 with wins over the Atlanta Falcons and the Buffalo Bills. The Jaguars offense had gone cold before this trip and got a much-needed game out of Trevor Lawerence and their offense vs. the Bills. They will now take this momentum into a matchup with the Indianapolis Colts in Jacksonville, where the winner will be the sole leader of the AFC South.

8. Dallas Cowboys (3-2) 📉 2

9. Los Angeles Chargers (2-2)  📈 1

10. Baltimore Ravens (3-2) 📉 3

11. Seattle Seahawks (3-1) ↔️

12. Cincinnati Bengals (2-3) 📈 1

Are the Bengals back? Their offense finally resembled the elite group we've seen in recent years. Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase connected for not one, not two, but three touchdowns on the day to defeat the Arizona Cardinals. The Bengals still have a lot of work to get back on track, but the AFC North remains in their grasp, giving them a fighting chance.

13. Cleveland Browns (2-2) 📉 1

14. Los Angeles Rams (2-3) ↔️

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-2) 📈 3

16. New Orleans Saints (3-2) 📈 3

17. Indianapolis Colts (3-2) 📈 3

18. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) 📈 5

19. Atlanta Falcons (3-2) 📈 6

The Atlanta Falcons offense has been struggling to start this season, and many have begun to question whether Desmond Ridder has what it takes to be a starter in the NFL. But when the team needed him this week on their final drive, he made plays happen to get the win over the red-hot Houston Texans 21-19. Ridder ended the day by completing 28 of his 37 pass attempts for 329 yards and a touchdown, as well as adding a rushing touchdown on the day. If the Falcons can get this level of play out of Ridder in the future, they are a real threat in the NFC South.

20. Green Bay Packers (2-3) 📉 4

21. New York Jets (2-3) 📈 3

The Jets are coming off back-to-back weeks where they look significantly improved on the offensive side of the ball after some early-year struggles. The team won't be getting Aaron Rodgers back anytime soon, but their defense is good enough that if their offense can keep up their recent performances, they can be in any game.

22. Washington Commanders (2-3) 📉 7

23. Houston Texans (2-3) 📉 1

24. Tennesee Titans (2-3) 📉 3

25. Las Vegas Raiders (2-3) 📈 2

26. Minnesota Vikings (1-4) 📉 9

27. Arizona Cardinals (1-4) 📈 2

28. Chicago Bears (1-4) 📈 3

The Chicago Bears joined the win collum with a big win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football. After a massive day from their big offseason acquisition, WR DJ Moore exploded for eight receptions, 230 yards, and three touchdowns. Their QB, Justin Fields, has improved significantly over the past two weeks after a disastrous start to the season. They will look to continue this recent surge at home as they will host their divisional rivals, the Minnesota Vikings, in Week 6.

29. New York Giants (1-4) 📉 1

30. New England Patriots (1-4) 📉 4

31. Denver Broncos (1-4) 📉 1

32. Carolina Panthers (0-5) ↔️
