The New England Patriots have one wide receiver who has made a strong impression since joining the team.

Jalen Reagor, who was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, signed with the Patriots following cutdown day after a brief stint with the Minnesota Vikings during the 2022 season and the 2023 preseason.

And on Wednesday, head coach Bill Belichick praised the receiver who played a season-high 25 snaps in Sunday's win over the Buffalo Bills.

"Been a really good scout-team player for us. We've played against a lot of top receivers and he's gotten a lot of good opportunities – with some of the routes those guys run – to be featured a little bit," Belichick said. "He's earned some playing time, which has come from his practice performance."

Reagor, who is currently on the Patriots practice squad, was elevated for the third time this season on Sunday. And according to the rules, this is the last time he was able to be elevated unless New England looks to sign him to the 53-man roster or release him and re-sign him to the practice squad after he clears waivers.

But with his increased role on Sunday combined with an open spot on the 53-man roster after the Patriots opted to released Malik Cunningham, Reagor is certainly a top candidate to fill that spot.

"So he's picking up the offense and we'll see how it goes," Belichick said. "But he's a good talent, good guy to work with, glad we have him."

We'll have to see what Belichick and the Patriots decide to do.
