All eyes are on Bill Belichick this season as most of the blame for the New England Patriots struggles haven been turned towards him. And with that, some have started to call for his job.

However, it seems members of the coaching staff are looking at this from a more positive point of view, seeing it as additional motivation. So that combined with the faith he has in his father makes Brian Belichick very confident about how the Patriots can turn it around.

“We know that my dad who’s been the head coach here for a long time works harder than anyone to make this team the best team that he can," safeties coach Brian Belichick said. “As far as our dad being criticized, we’ve been dealing with that our whole lives. Honestly, it kind of helps you block out everything and focus on what’s important.

Of course (it’s motivating)," he added. "I’d say generally, when there’s a lot of noise both positive and negative, the best thing you can do is try to block it out and focus on what’s important, which is helping the players be as successful as they can on the field."

Bill Belichick is regarded as one of, if not, the best coach in the history of the NFL. So with people now calling for his job, it shows how unhappy they are with the current state of the Patriots.

Yet none of that negativity worries Brian Belichick. He knows his father is doing what he thinks is best based on his extensive experience.

"When he says he makes decisions in the best interest of the football team, he really means that and it’s always his goal," Brian Belichick said. "That’s one of the core things that’s made this place so successful over the years, is that the head coach sets the standard for work and doing what’s best for the team and that it’s whatever we can do to make each other better and the team better, that’s what we’re trying to do. We all see that example and try to do that ourselves.”

Bill Belichick's tactics have often been questioned throughout his entire career, but some of those have also helped the Patriots win six Super Bowl championships. However, now some of those things are no longer working as the team drops to 1-4.

Yet, Brian Belichick, who has worked on the Patriots coaching staff since 2016, has never seen his father shy away from the hard work and knows that he is more motivated than ever to turn things around.
