A familiar face was in Foxborough on Monday.

The New England Patriots brought in veteran free-agent Trey Flowers for a workout, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

This is the second time the Patriots have brought in Flowers this offseason.

Flowers began his career with the Patriots, being drafted in the fourth round (101th overall pick) in the 2015 NFL Draft. However he was forced to miss most of his rookie season due to injury.

Across his three years in New England, Flowers recorded 164 tackles, with 21 sacks, five forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

Oh, and he won two Super Bowl championships, while also being named to the Patriots All-2010s Team.

He then signed a five-year deal with the Detroit Lions, but was released after three seasons. He then signed with the Miami Dolphins, but only played in four games before being placed on injured reserve.

The Patriots currently have two roster spots open ahead of their first preseason game against the Houston Texans on Thursday.

So does one of those have Flowers name on it?
