FOXBOROUGH, MA – The New England Patriots might have revealed their plan regarding the starting quarterback during their media-attended portion of practice on Wednesday.

Bailey Zappe took the majority of the reps during this time, while Malik Cunningham was rotated in. Mac Jones stood to the side the entire time, not throwing a single pass.

Will Grier also made his return to practice after being waived and then re-signed to the practice squad, but he did not take any reps as well.

Once again, Belichick refused to tell reporters who the starting quarterback is.

"Yeah, I'm not going to make any announcements on our lineup at any position," he said prior to practice. "We'll see how practice goes and see if everybody's ready to go. Hope everybody's ready to go. See what the injury situation is and go with who we think is best on Sunday."

Jones began the season as the starter, but his poor performance has led to him getting benched four times. And each time it has been Bailey Zappe who has come on for the third-year quarterback.

Based on practice, all signs point to Zappe starting. But Belichick is known to be unpredictable so there is no saying what could happen when Sunday rolls around.
