The NFL handed down a harsh penalty on Damontae Kazee.
The Pittsburgh Steelers safety was suspended for the rest of the season and any potential postseason games for repeated violations of unnecessary roughness.
This was based on Kazee's big hit on Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., which put Pittman in concussion protocol. Kazee was ejected from the game.
Following the news on Monday, Patriots legend Tom Brady took to social media, expressing his opinion on the matter.
"Nobody likes seeing players get hurt," Brady wrote on Instagram. "But hard hits happen. QBs should not be throwing the ball in areas where they are exposing their own teammates to these types of hits. Coaches need to coach better, QBs need to read coverages and throw the ball to the right places and defenders should aim for the right hitting areas. To put the blame on the defense player all the time is just play out wrong. Need better QB play!! It's not OK QBs to get your WRs hit because of your bad decisions."
Colts QB Gardner Minshew's throw forced Pittman to dive in an effort to make the catch.
Because of that, Brady is placing the blame on his fellow quarterbacks in protecting the receivers and making the throws so they won't get hurt.
While it was on an unrelated topic, Bailey Zappe's comment on WEEI's Jones and Mego show echoed Brady's sentiments about the quarterback's responsibility.
"That's on us as quarterbacks," Zappe said . "We're the guys who control where the ball goes."
Kazee has been fined a few times this season already for unnecessary roughness, but this time the league had finally seen enough.
