The New Orleans Saints drafted for upside in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Defensive lineman Bryan Bresee is a physically gifted rusher that flourished as a freshman at Clemson. The Saints hope that he can make an immediate impact on a defensive line that needs another presence right now.
It sounds like Bresee is getting a major opportunity early on in his NFL career, too. On Tuesday at Saints OTAs, Bresee received first team reps on the defensive line for drills.
Bresee was a game wrecker at times in college. For the Saints early on, he doesn't have to do that. There's talent elsewhere upfront with Cameron Jordan, Khalen Saunders, etc. That being said, getting production from him takes the Saints defense to the next level.
Some of his highlights at Clemson were eye-popping. New Orleans hopes that those will transition to the NFL.
