The New York Giants just made an offseason-altering move. They are trading for one of the top pass rushers in the NFL, according to multiple sources.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Giants are trading for Carolina Panthers EDGE Brian Burns.

Burns is an elite pass rusher that gives that Giants one of the top DL units in football. Alongside Dexter Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeaux, they have unlimited upside in that area of their roster.

The Giants are giving Burns a 5-year deal worth $150 million in total.

Sheena Quick was the first to report a deal was close earlier this afternoon.

Burns will become the second-highest paid EDGE in the NFL once his extension with New York is finalized.
