The New York Giants had a big decision to make ahead of their Week 14 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
Tyrod Taylor was designated to return from injured reserve on Monday, and that brought up questions of whether they turn to Taylor or stick with rookie Tommy DeVito.
It seems Daboll has made his decision.
The Giants head coach told reporters on Tuesday that DeVito will start on Monday night against the Packers.
DeVito signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent in April, but was waived on cutdown day and re-signed to the practice squad. He made his NFL debut against the New York Jets after Taylor was injured. DeVito was signed to the active roster at the end of October and was named the starting quarterback for Week 10, with both Taylor and Daniel Jones out with injuries.
Jones will remain sidelined for the season with a torn ACL, but the Giants are getting Taylor back.
While DeVito will be the starter this week, Daboll isn't making anything official going forward.
So it will be interesting to see if DeVito can hold onto the starting role or if Taylor will take it back.
