Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson is no longer expected to interview with the Carolina Panthers.
According to The Athletic, the Panthers dropped Johnson "quietly," by announcing 11 official candidates via social media with Johnson's name nowhere to be found.
Carolina has since moved on to the second round of interviews.
Why the Panthers decided not to interview Johnson remains up in the air, but it could have to do with the fact that the Eagles dropped six of their final seven contests.
While Johnson won't be heading to Carolina, he has completed interviews with the Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans for their vacant head coach positions.
There's also still a chance that Johnson stays in Philly.
The Eagles have not officially moved on from Johnson, though a recent report says that a departure is coming.
However, the Eagles could be hanging on to Johnson as he goes through head coach interviews because they would receive third-round compensatory picks over the next two drafts if he is hired by Atlanta of Tennessee.
The Eagles made some big moves over the weekend, firing defensive coordinator Sean Desai on Sunday and they chose not to renew defensive assistant Matt Patricia's contract.
Report: Eagles expected to part ways with OC Brian Johnson
No surprise here.
