Jalen Hurts, the Philadelphia Eagles' transcendent superstar, joined elite quarterback company in the latest CBS Sports quarterback power rankings.

Cody Benjamin put together his post-draft NFL quarterback power rankings, where Hurts came in third behind only Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals.

It is only a matter of time before the NFL is back in full swing, and these quarterbacks will prove that they deserve the ranking they were given. Until then, let's take a look at who exactly is on the NFL quarterback power ranking list.

Benjamin's rationale for placing Hurts third on the list is the following:

"Wear and tear is something to monitor with Hurts because of his physical approach to the ground game, but you simply cannot question this man's will to win, and his seismic leap as a downfield passer in 2022 has him on an MVP course."

Shockingly, Hurts sits directly ahead of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. and Los Angeles Chargers slinger Justin Herbert.

It is hard to believe that just two years ago, Hurts being ahead of Herbert or Allen on any quarterback ranking list would have been a cause for concern. But given the year 2022 was for Hurts, it comes as no surprise that he landed at the No. 3 spot on the QB power rankings.
