The Philadelphia Eagles met with offensive tackle Tyler Guyton at the Senior Bowl this week, per Guyton and NFL sources

While the meeting doesn't necessarily mean that the Eagles are heavily interested in him, it does mean that he's on their radar.

Guyton also told reporters that he has been in consistent contact with fellow Sooners and Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson.

"He's meant a lot to me," Guyton said of Johnson. "Being a right tackle I think he's the best right tackle to ever play football. I talk to him all of the time. He's become a mentor to me, like a big brother. And learning from him elevates my game and I feel like it's also more challenge for him to make me better. It's like a big brother-little brother relationship."

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah released his first mock draft in January where he had Guyton going to the Eagles with their first pick at No. 22.

Jeremiah cites the need for Philly to start planning for life after Johnson and notes that Guyton is "one of the most athletically gifted tackles in the class."

Guyton Impresses at Senior Bowl

Guyton is a mammoth, standing at 6-foot-7 and 328 pounds. That's in comparison to Johnson who is 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds.

His size and speed caught the attention of many on Day 1 of Senior Bowl practices:

In his final and lone season with the Sooners, Guyton allowed zero sacks on 335 pass blocking snaps (per PFF).

He also brings plenty of versatility to the game, having played defensive end in high school and at H-back during his time at TCU.
