The Philadelphia Eagles have had quite the homecoming effect.

Last week running back D'Andre Swift ran for a career-high 175 yards in front of his hometown of Philly.

And this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter logged five pressures, half a sack, a quarterback hit and one forced fumble in front of his home crowd. His five total pressures on Monday night led the Eagles' defense in their 25-11 win over the Bucs.

In three games, the former ninth-overall pick out of Georgia has picked up 15 pressures, five total tackles, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two quarterback hits and two tackles for loss.

His 15 total pressures are now tied for seventh in the NFL and second among defensive tackles.

Despite a third-straight dominant performance as a rookie tackle, Carter has been less impressed with himself and more impressed with how the Eagles' defense has operated as a whole unit.

"This defense is awesome," Carter said after the Eagles won, via Sports Illustrated. "I love this defense. Everybody trusts one another, plays their roles, and does what they have to do. When one goes down it's the next man up and we don't worry about who it is, we trust him as much as the guy who started the game. I love this defense."
