The Philadelphia Eagles are not done making veteran additions to their roster, and the latest move is to attempt to improve the depth of Vic Fangio’s defense.

Eagles take swing at pass rusher

According to Dave Zangaro, the Eagles are signing edge rusher Joe Tryon-Shoyinka. It is a one-year deal, via GM Howie Roseman.

The 26-year-old totaled 15 career sacks with Tampa Bay to begin his career. That being said, he didn’t record a sack in 16 games with the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns last year. He will be depth who will try to earn a roster spot during training camp and the preseason for Philly.

In 2023, Lane Johnson played incredibly well against a younger version of the EDGE rusher. Tryon-Shoyinka was the No. 32 overall pick for the Bucs in 2021.

More moves coming for Philadelphia

Roseman isn’t done making moves, either. He detailed that the offseason of additions isn’t over, and they still have work to do. That makes sense when you see some of the unproven aspects of the roster so far.

“Incomplete, and I think it’s hard to really judge how the offseason’s gone until you have a draft, until you see what other opportunities are out there,” Roseman said. “So I would say right now, the upgrade is incomplete, for sure. There’s a lot of things that we’re continually trying to do, and obviously, you know, we don’t play a game until September.”

We will see how the Eagle navigate the rest of the offseason going forward.
