The Philadelphia Eagles have announced their Thursday injury report for their Week 5 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Defensive tackles Fletcher Cox (back) and Marlon Tuipulotu (triceps) missed their second-straight practices. Cox had already been playing through a knee and ribs injury this season.
Wide receiver Britain Covey (concussion) returned to practice, though it's unclear if he practiced in full at this time.
As expected, starting right guard Cam Jurgens (foot) as did not practice.
Below is the injury report from Wednesday and we will update it once we know more.
| Player | Injury | Wednesday | Thursday |
|---|---|---|---|
S Sydney Brown | hamstring | LP | LP |
S Justin Evans | neck | FP | FP |
WR Quez Watkins | hamstring | FP | FP |
WR Britain Covey | concussion | DNP | LP |
RG Cam Jurgens | foot | DNP | DNP |
DT Feltcher Cox | back | DNP | DNP |
DT Marlon Tuipulotu | triceps | DNP | DNP |
KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related
Injury report observations:
- Jurgens is considered "week-to-week" with his foot injury. Sua Opeta will step up in his place.
- Cox has been playing through injuries since Week 2, though his back injury appears to be more serious.
- If Cox and Tuipulotu are both out on Sunday, then we'll see more of Jalen Carter.
- Covey did not practice on Wednesday but he was working with a trainer on the side, according to NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro. He will need to be cleared from concussion protocol before he is able to return to practice in full.
- Eagles have their safety duo trending in the right direction, which is some good news for their banged-up defense.
