Nick Foles' name will never be forgotten in Philadelphia after his performance in Super Bowl LII. But this time around Foles is in the news again and, much like Super Bowl LII, Eagles fans will be smiling from ear to ear.
Since his Super Bowl victory in 2018, Foles, 34, has bounced around quite a bit. He’s made stops in Jacksonville, Chicago and Indianapolis playing sparingly with each team. Foles’ 11-year career has been full of ups and downs. However, before his time in the NFL comes to an end, he wants to make a return to the city who loves him most.
“I look forward to coming back and visiting the city and, you know, hopefully even, when it’s all said and done, just retiring an Eagle. I think that’s the right thing to do,” Foles told The Enquirer.
Saturday was the five-year anniversary of Foles’ heroics in Super Bowl LII, in which he won the game’s MVP award. Though he’s not part of this year’s team, Foles did mention that he would be rooting for the Birds this time around.
