The Pittsburgh Steelers are not only reeling after an embarrassing loss on Sunday but continue to be bitten by the injury bug.
In an effort to counteract that, per the team, Pittsburgh is adding some outside help:
Steelers Sign LB Myles Jack to Practice Squad
After some fodder that Jack and the Steelers had mutual interest, the two sides officially put pen to paper, coming back together in light of some recent injuries to the linebacking corps.
Steelers Sign S Eric Rowe to Practice Squad
A Two-time Super Bowl Champion with the New England Patriots, Rowe is being brought in after the team suffered yet another loss in the secondary on Sunday. The veteran DB is also joining Jack on the practice squad, but there is a chance he is elevated based on the availability of Minkah Fitzpatrick as we near Sunday.
Steelers Sign S Trenton Thompson to Active Roster
Thompson was activated yet again against the Browns, and after a strong performance and the loss of Eli Riley, the Steelers have given him a promotion, as he officially joins the teams 53 man roster.
Steelers Place S Elijah Riley on Injured Reserve
Following an ankle injury during the Browns game, Pittsburgh made the aforementioned roster moves at safety, placing Riley on the injured reserve. He will be evaluated in four weeks.
