It's hard to not be excited about the Tennessee Titans right now.

On Friday evening, the Titans continued their tremendous offseason by acquiring cornerback L'jarius Sneed via a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Titans are reportedly sending a 2025 third-round pick to the Chiefs for Sneed. The two franchises are also swapping seventh-round selections in 2024.

Sneed was one of the most coveted players available (via trade/free agency). Multiple teams had tried to work out a deal for Sneed in recent days, but they couldn't quite come to an agreement on compensation.

The Louisiana Tech will also receive a new contract with the Titans.

Tennessee has quietly dominated the offseason. The national media isn't quite giving the team its due, but general manager Ran Carthon has done nearly all he can to give quarterback Will Levis a legitimate shot at success in 2024.

Signing wide receiver Calvin Ridley, center Lloyd Cushenberry, and running back Tony Pollard shows that Carthon is operating with a sense of urgency. The addition of Sneed shows that Carthon believes this team can compete. And he knew he needed another piece of defense to give the team a real chance.

Last year was a snoozer for the Titans, but 2024 is shaping up to be a potentially really fun year for the franchise.

Update:

Sneed's new deal with the Titans is a four year deal worth $76 million with $55 million in guaranteed money.
