We’ve reached the point of the preseason where the narrative surrounding the Buffalo Bills has gone from Super Bowl hype to skepticism.

And it’s all because the Bills are….too talented?

Ok maybe that’s not the reason, but it certainly feels like that’s what’s happening right now.

Kay Adams, the former host of Good Morning Football on NFL Network, appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday and suggested that she’s “worried” about Buffalo because everyone is picking them to win the Super Bowl.

Adams also pointed out that she thinks the absence of cornerback Tre’davious White is going to greatly impact the Bills.

White is starting the season on the PUP list which means he’ll miss at least the first four games on Buffalo’s schedule.

This is just absurd.

The Bills have no control over who picks them to win the Super Bowl. Nor do they care. Their goal is obviously to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season. They won’t be distracted by what the media is saying.

There’s zero reason for anyone to believe in “jinxes”. Predictions have no bearing on the outcome of a game.

No one should be worried about the Bills because of what some analysts on television said. This is an elite team that’s going to win a lot of games in 2022. Whether or not they win the Super Bowl remains to be seen — too much will happen between now and February.

However, if the Bills don’t enter next offseason as champions, it won’t be because “everyone” picked them to win it all and they were jinxed. Sometimes, the best team doesn’t win it all. That’s football.
