The season might be over for the Chicago Bears, but that hasn’t stopped one rookie from earning a postseason honor.
Bears left tackle Braxton Jones was named to the Pro Football Writers of America’s 2022 All-Rookie Team.
Congrats to @braxtonjones742 on being named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team! 👏— Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) January 24, 2023
Jones, who was drafted in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, is part of what turned out to be a well-rounded rookie class for Chicago. Jones started in each of the Bears’ 17 regular season games.
While it’s an outstanding individual achievement for Jones, this honor is a testament to general manager Ryan Poles’ draft evaluations on offensive lineman. Poles has his hands full heading into the 2023 offseason, but Jones’ production should give Bears fans hope that the front office can fix the team’s issues in the trenches.
