It’s safe to say that the 2022 NFL season did not get off to the start that the Cincinnati Bengals envisioned.

Especially for wide receiver Tee Higgins, who had to bow out early due to suffering a concussion after a big hit.

All eyes on were on Higgins this week as he tried to work his way through the NFL’s concussion protocol in hopes of playing Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.

Well, as it turns out, Higgins was able to get through the protocol and barring a setback, he is expected to suit up and play for the Bengals, per NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport.

This is obviously great news for the Bengals, who are looking to get back to .500 after last week’s wild loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Higgins is one of the team’s -and the NFL’s- best receivers and he will be needed. Especially when considering teammate Ja’Marr Chase is very likely to see a lot of Trevon Diggs when the Week 2 matchup kicks off.
