Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow sounded just like Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers this week.

In 2014, Rodgers and the Packers got off to a tough 1-2 start.

Fans, naturally, started freaking out.

Rodgers, however, stayed the course. And he reminded fans — via a famous quote — that they needed to take a step back and R-E-L-A-X.

Green Bay went on to finish 12-4.

On Wednesday, Burrow broke out a similar line while talking to reporters.

“Everyone just take a deep breath and relax,” said Burrow. “We’re going to be fine.”

Burrow is right — there’s a lot of season left. If the Bengals were 8-1 and dropped two games in a row on last-second field goals to fall to 8-3, no one would blink an eye.

But because it’s the first weeks of the season and the Bengals don’t have a win yet, fans are freaking out a bit.

I get it. It’s not the start any Cincinnati fan wanted. But it’s not like the Bengals were eliminated from the playoffs because they lost to the Dallas Cowboys in week two. Let the season play out before you start the freak out.
