Another week, another dominant performance from Micah Parsons. The Dallas Cowboys superstar pass rusher keeps putting himself in elite company every week as he wreaks havoc game after game.

This time, his name was placed next to franchise legend (and Hall of Fame semifinalist) DeMarcus Ware. Parsons and D-Ware are now tied for the most multi-sack performances in a season in Cowboys history (6).

Against the New York Giants, Parsons kept disrupting the pocket and pressuring Daniel Jones. The opponent’s banged-up offensive line couldn’t hold down the Cowboys’ talented defensive front and was especially vulnerable to Dan Quinn’s third-and-long subpackage featuring four defensive ends.

Specifically, Parsons finished the Thanksgiving game with two sacks off of left tackle Andrew Thomas, who arrived at this game with no sacks allowed all season long (9 QB pressures).

While one was a long-developing play that benefited Parsons as Jones held on to the ball as he tried to climb the pocket, the second one was a clinic-worthy pass rush snap. On second down and ten, the Cowboys’ candidate for D.P.O.Y. easily beats Thomas to get to Jones with technique and speed.

The Cowboys’ defensive end also made sure to talk some well-earned smack after the game.

For a rivalry that’s heavily favored the Dallas Cowboys in recent years (when Dak Prescott plays, they’re 10-0 against them), you’ve got to love Parsons adding logs to the fire.

The divisional foes won’t meet again in 2022 – unless it’s in the playoffs – but next time they do, everyone will have their eyes on Parsons vs. Thomas.
