Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott and Cowboys fans have something in common. They are both extremely excited for CeeDee Lamb in 2021. This comes as no surprise, but Prescott has a lot of confidence in the young Wide Receiver. His comments about Lamb have been gleaming.
Prescott said, “My expectations are super high… Throwing it to him and watching him get off the line, run routes, go up and get contested balls time and time again. It’s exciting…He’ll be big-time and definitely have a breakout season.”

It is interesting that Dak mentioned CeeDee’s contested catch ability, too. Lamb was more so thought of as a run-after-catch type of receiver coming out of Oklahoma. While he is still that, it is clear that his time with Dallas has helped him to improve many aspects of his game. His routes look crisper, and his timing is much more polished as well. Lamb is becoming a more complete receiver.
The development is tantalizing, and Dak is noticing it, too.
Their connection ended early due to Dak’s injury last season. This year, they’re expecting to put an electric product on the field for their team and their fans.

Even without Dak for most of the year, CeeDee managed to have 935 yards on 74 receptions and 6 total touchdowns as a rookie. Those numbers are nothing to sneeze at. Furthermore, he was very efficient as well, as 46 of his grabs went for first downs. Playing alongside Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, they easily have the potential to be the best Wide Receiver trio in the NFL in 2021.
Dallas Cowboys receiving corps 16-game pace through Dak Prescott’s five games:
CeeDee Lamb – 1,386 yards
Amari Cooper – 1,357 yards
Michael Gallup – 1,114 yards

For fantasy purposes, it is also intriguing to look at the numbers with Dak at QB last season. When healthy, Prescott was the QB2 in all of fantasy. Ezekiel Elliott was the RB4, and Amari Cooper was the WR3. Lamb was not too far behind as the WR14. Undoubtedly, they all benefit from him being the starter, so expect Lamb’s season-long numbers to do the same this year.
Prescott also called CeeDee, “a playmaker that we’re privileged to have.” Without a doubt, he wants to have him very involved in the offense. His electric play from the slot with Cooper and Gallup outside is lethal.

There is always a bunch of “breakout” talk in the off-season, but this is some that folks may want to keep in mind. On a team full of weapons, don’t be shocked if Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb become the best connection of them all.
