The Denver Broncos look like they may be entering into the same events that always transpire around this time of year, every year. The Broncos have been a team that has dealt with injuries just as much as any other team over the last three years or so.

It seems as if they could be back in familiar territory, just as everyone was finally getting healthy.

Tim Patrick, one of the best playmakers on the team was seen carted off the practice field Tuesday afternoon, during the Broncos first fully padded practice.

Per Nick Kosmider, the team gathered around Patrick as he came down with the ball after receiving a pass from Russell Wilson. His teammates gathered around him and the cart was rolled out. It is believed to be a leg injury.

“It breaks your heart because you love him,” Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett told reporters Tuesday.

The Broncos have one of the deepest receiver corps in the NFL. Without Patrick, there is a large hole that needs to be filled. Patrick has played in 31 of 33 games over the last two seasons, and just recently signed a three-year $34 million deal.
