The Denver Broncos have been excited about their offense after their off-season addition of quarterback Russell Wilson. That’s certainly understandable. Wilson has some exciting targets to throw to in Denver, but they lost one earlier this week in WR Tim Patrick. Patrick tore his ACL during practice and will miss the 2022-2023 season. Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, and K.J. Hamler is a good WR room. Alas, who are some free agent targets that they could go after to supply some more depth?

Will Fuller

Fuller is the most common free agent option outside of Odell Beckham Jr. that is being discussed around the league. Fuller, unlike Odell, is expected to be healthy by the start of the season. His availability for throughout the season is his biggest question mark, though.

Fuller can be a very dynamic target downfield for whoever his QB may be. Broncos His hands can be a bit inconsistent, but he is very explosive. Fuller alongside Sutton would make life very difficult on opposing defenses facing the Broncos. It all comes down to his health, and his contract will most likely show that as well. It would make sense for the Broncos to at least give him a look.

Allen Hurns

Hurns is a cheaper, veteran option for Denver. He has struggled with some injuries over the last few season, too. That being said, teammates and coaches in his past rave about his leadership and attention to detail.

Having Hurns as your WR4 is completely passable. He could also help with the development of younger Broncos receivers like Jeudy and Hamler. Hurns was a Miami Dolphin in 2021.

Adam Humphries

Humphries is another safe option. He is probably the most reliable of these three. That being said, Humphries certainly has a cap on routes he can run on a consistent basis.

The 29-year-old WR has a lot of experience as depth on different teams, though. He plays a good underneath role and has requisite hands and speed. He played for Washington last season. The Broncos could use the veteran on their depth chart.

The Broncos may not add depth immediately, but it is possible that they could look at a free agent to add depth to their WR room before the season begins.
